The Sea Gull General Purpose I/O Module (SG-GPIO) is a multifunctional I/O module and is an addition to the Sea Gull Plug & Fly Instruments system that interfaces to MS-FlightSimulator, X-Plane and Elite.
The SG-GPIO has Digital as well as Analogue Input and Output capabilities. It can control various digital outputs like lamps/LEDs, relays and coils, analog output signals and various input signals like (on/off and multi-position-) switches and rotary encoders.
The mapping of the hardware in- and outputs onto the flight simulator software parameters is definable via a friendly graphical user interface.
The SG-GPIO enables for instance:
- via switches to control the Landing Gear, Flaps, Landing lights etc.
in the flight simulator program;
- via rotary encoders to control the Rudder, the Ailerons etc. in the
flight simulator program;
- the flight simulator program to set lights on/off like the Inner Marker,
the Landing Gear, etc.
The SG-GPIO module is equipped with both USB and CAN Communication features. SG-GPIO is a modular system, which enables change of functionality and size of the system through the connection of multiple input and output boards.
