Vertical Speed

The vertical speed, or rate of climb/descent, is measured by the change in the 'static' environment pressure. This can be done by measuring the airflow in or out of a bottle!

For General Aviation the vertical speed scale is in 100 feet per minute (where European gliders have a meters per second scale).

Our Vertical Speed Indicator is available as stand alone instrument and as 'slave' instrument (picture) controled by a master instrument. In both cases an Interface Box is needed (see General concept).

The instrument is illuminated by (2) leds (optional), switched by the flight simulator.
