Before take off the gyro compass has to be aligned with the whiskey compass and during the flight it has to be checked for drift while flying in a straight line.

The Gyro Compass is available as stand alone instrument and as master instrument. In both cases an Interface Box is needed (see General concept).
The instrument is illuminated by (2) leds (optional), switched by the flight simulator.
