Indicated Airspeed

The (Indicated) Airspeed is measured by the pressure 'on the nose' of the aeroplane. A correction is made for the 'static' environment pressure.

On higher altitudes the air density is lower than on sea level. This results in a lower pressure and a lower Indicated airspeed than the True Airspeed. Like the real instruments some of our models will be adjustable for the altitude, which makes it possible to read the True Airspeed.

The SeaGull Airspeed Indicators are available as Master instrument and as 'Slave' instrument controlled by a master instrument. In both cases an Interface Box is needed (see General concept).

The instrument is illuminated by (2) leds.
